“All glory to God,” Gaethje captioned the post. “I wasn’t leaving tonight without the chance to put another strap on Trevor Wittman’s wall.”
Both men came out swinging for the fences and in the first round the chances of them both hearing the final bell of the third would have been long.
But somehow they both survived the slugfest and it was Gaethje who came up with the cleanup job, although his opponent deserves big credit for making such a big show of it.
Gaethje is now adamant that he is next in line for a title against the winner of Charles Oliveria’s clash with Dustin Poirier in December.

After the fight, the winner said, “I knew exactly what the fuck was, he was a warrior.” We live in bad times.
“Me and him should have fought to the death in the fucking Colosseum. I hope it’s (Charles) Oliveira in Brazil or Poirier in Louisiana, I don’t care, I’m ranked No. 2.
“I just got an impressive victory. Of course, who else? DC (Daniel Cormier) isn’t here, so I’m the only ***** mom left.
